Continuing education is important in any field; especially so in medical fields where technology and techniques are constantly evolving and improving. For us here at Bay Oral Surgery and Implant Center, staying at the cutting edge – no pun intended – means that we’re better able to serve our patients by providing them with the best care possible.
Now we’re taking that commitment to learning and to our patients even further. On September 18th we will be hosting a city-wide clinical symposium for area dental professionals. Our aim is to foster conversation and spread knowledge in a way that stretches beyond our doors and benefits all oral surgery patients in Green Bay.
This symposium is made possible by some wonderful sponsors, including Schneck Accounting, Finance System of Green Bay Inc. and Dental Crafters.
The following sessions will be available to dental professionals as well as their administrative and clinical team members:
Dr. John Fantasia, former President of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, will lecture on Oral Pathology practice for general dentist offices.
John Elder, Egoscue Method user and clinic owner, will explain the Egoscue method and its uses for chronic pain management.
Dr. Uday Reebye, a dual degree board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, attending surgeon at Durham regional hospital and clinical adjunct faculty member at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, will discuss the latest clinical research and techniques regarding immediate implant placement and grafting.
Chrisann Lemery, health information management expert and board member of HIPAA collaborative of Wisconsin, will be leading a breakout session on managing Hyppa in your dental practice.
Sherri Lukes, A pathology fellow in the American Academy of Dental Hygiene and Associate Professor at Southern Illinois University, Will be presenting on the topic of oral pathology for the dental hygienist.
Bay Oral is committed to the health of not only our patients, but all dental patients in the Green Bay area. For updates and photos of the event, stay tuned to our Facebook page.
