About Dr. Trystan Wiedow, DDS
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Trystan Wiedow has joined Bay Oral Surgery & Implant Center (July 2026). His addition strengthens our commitment to providing exceptional oral and maxillofacial surgical care for patients and trusted support for referring providers throughout the community.
Dr. Wiedow earned both his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Iowa. During dental school, he served as class president for all four years and was recognized for his leadership, academic achievement, and commitment to the profession. He received the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award and the Iowa Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award. He was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, and selected for membership in the Pierre Fauchard Academy in recognition of his academic excellence, leadership, and dedication to dentistry.
He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where he received comprehensive training across the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. His clinical interests include dental implant surgery, wisdom tooth removal, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, and office-based IV anesthesia. He is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based care while ensuring each patient feels informed, comfortable, and confident throughout the treatment process.
Raised in Spirit Lake, a small town in northwest Iowa, Dr. Wiedow developed an appreciation for close-knit communities and the importance of building lasting relationships. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Hannah, their son, Nile, and their cat, Morty. Whether hiking, biking, camping, or simply exploring the outdoors, he enjoys staying active and making the most of time with his family.
